In The Inside Story, Sabrina, Daphne, and Puck travel into the Book of Everafter, chasing after the Master and the Grimms' their not-yet-named baby brother. They discover, however, many dangers- the Editor, his revisers, and the mysterious spirit that lurks in the "margins" of the stories.

In the Book of Everafter, Everafters relive their stories over and over again, and many of them don't like it, including the Cheshire Cat and King Arthur. The Book of Everafter is dangerous because events changed inside it could actually change history in real life.

At the end of the book, Sabrina also finally admits that Puck is "her first crush", after saving him from a poisoned apple with true love's kiss.
